Local reminders
60 minutes and 5 minutes before the deadline the app reminds you. These notifications run locally on your device and work without a connection.

Automatic SMS to your contacts
If the check-in does not arrive, an SMS goes to every stored contact with the time and your last known location as a Google Maps link.
Manual SOS
Press and hold the SOS button, or shake your device firmly. A 5-second countdown with a colour fade and vibration lets you cancel false alarms.
Emergency quick dial 110 / 112
Call police or emergency services straight from the app – no searching, no detour. The fastest and most important option in any real emergency.
Beacon mode
After an emergency call, the flashlight pulses in a signal rhythm and the screen shows a large SOS – so helpers can find you in the dark.
Buddy system
A trusted person who sees the small signals – not just the emergency.
Verification by SMS code
Phone numbers are confirmed with a one-time code. Nobody can be added as a buddy without being asked – consent is required on both sides.
Battery warning at 10 %
If your battery drops below 10 %, your buddy finds out – at most twice a day, and switchable at any time.
„Arrived safely“
Announce your way home and confirm with a tap once you arrive. If the confirmation does not come, your buddy knows.
Everyday use
Light and dark mode
The app follows your system setting or can be fixed to one mode. In the dark that means less glare – and a clearly visible SOS button.
Usable without an account
No registration, no email address. TapAlive works with an anonymous device ID generated locally on your device.
